Tanzania
2006 Trip

Our trip to Tanzania was an adventure from the start. The enemy waged a full attack against us to keep this trip from even happening. But praise God for His faithfulness and goodness as we made it to Tanzania. There were four of us that made the trip this year; Pastor Dave, Pastor John, Pastor Matthew Collins (from Scotland) and myself (Pastor Jim).

Let me share with you the highlights of the pastoral conference which was held in Misungwi. We had the privilege of training approx. 100 pastors; elders and leaders from some 15 different denominational backgrounds. We were able to give to these leaders bibles, notebooks, pens, and reading glasses. We were also able to give away 10 bicycles to pastors. On the last day of conference their were 969 people in attendance. During the 4 day conference we were able to feed these registered attendees breakfast, lunch and dinner.

We also held a 4 night revival service in a small church in Mwanza City (church pictured above). We saw God move mightily during these 4 nights as there were many healings and demons cast out. The church went in attendance from approx. 50 attenders to over 100 in attendance. The pastor is now looking for another place to hold service as the present building has been out grown.

We were able to bless Pastor Mordekai church by purchasing 100 chairs for them so they could get rid of their wooden benches. The church was very excited to show up Sunday morning and sit in brand new chairs. We also had the opportunity to give a young man the money he needed to pay the dowry for the young woman he wanted to marry.

The place we stayed at for the two weeks in Tanzania was a Catholic training center. We had the opportunity to bless two people from this center. One was a girl who needed money to go to school to train to be a nurse. We were able to pay for one year of schooling for her. The other was a female security guard at the center. We were able to send her to night school to get training for computer courses.

Before leaving Dar-es-salaam we gave finances to Bishop Willy to build a building which would be used as a school to teach the 20 orphans that his church people were taking care of.

The needs are great in Tanzania and it was awesome to be used of God to be a blessing to people. Please pray for the people of Tanzania and pray the we will be able to continue to minister the love of God to the Tanzanian people.

Pray for Tanzania
Pastor Jim
